    And have no fear, I usually see every email come through as they’re sent. I see you, I’m just very deliberate with how I use my limited time for various projects.

  • I prefer working with Word documents, but I am happy to make accommodations when needed.

    Please format your Word Document in standard North American formatting. For example, your manuscript should be font size 12, Times New Roman, and double-spaced. If your manuscript, first chapter, or query letter isn’t appropriately formatted, don’t worry! I’ll fix it up for you. (Query letters should be submitted to agents single spaced [I request double spaced for my poor eyes!]).

  • Yes! For manuscript critiques, line edits, coaching, and reoccurring consultations I do offer a payment plan option. Please feel free to reach out for more information.

  • For large-scale edits like manuscript critiques, line edits, and developmental edits, I do offer editing samples! Please feel free to send me the first 1000 words of your manuscript, and I’ll happily supply a sample edit.

  • EFFECTIVE DECEMBER 30, 2023: For projects expected to take two weeks or longer, a deposit will be required to hold your spot. For more information, please feel free to contact me. For the Full Manuscript Critique, Developmental Edit, and Line Edit service, a 25% deposit is required upon booking.

  • Yes! Since the majority of my customers are in the US, I process all of payments in USD. But I have edited for clients all over the world! Including Canada, the UK, Sweden, and Australia. invoices are sent through PayPal.

  • The length to complete any project entirely depends on the length of your document and the type of editing your content needs. Since I work in-house full-time during the week, I freelance mainly on the weekends (and in the evenings when required). For larger projects, the timeframe will be drawn from the scope of your edit and the sample provided.

  • While I am one human and there is no way to guarantee 100% accuracy or a book deal, I will try my absolute best to catch the industry standard of 80%-90% and help you stand out in the slush pile.

    I can say with utmost confidence that some of my clients have gone on to obtain agents, self-publish their books, and find homes at traditional publishing houses.
